Step 1 -
We are now officially listed on the Wisconsin DNR list of "Green and Healthy Schools"

 

Our pledge is signed, our stickers and welcome letter were delivered and will be displayed on the PTO bulletin board in the front entry of Oakwood Elementary School. 
Feel free to share this wonderful news with your families!

 

Step 2- the Assessment -
is being finalized to be given to each classroom with activities to assess Oakwood's practices on energy, water, waste and recycling, plus buildings and grounds and community involvement.  We will be conducting the assessment during the school week of 4/14-4/18.  We are asking that each class only complete ONE page of assessment questions, and then come up with a solution to work on 'fixing" what you have discovered by the end of the school day on 4/18.  After we're all done "checking out" our building and grounds, we will celebrate with our 2nd Annual Sheldon Nature Area Family Day on 4/19 from 10am-3pm.

Northwestern's School Information that comes out on Sundays.
