The Oakwood Charter Sustainability Fund was established with the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation. The fund will only be used to sustain the Charter program at Oakwood and cannot be used by the school district for any other funding. This exclusive fund will be used to sustain the tremendous growth realized over the last five years for the Oakwood EE Charter and its incredible affect on other schools throughout the country. Oakwood EE has helped schools from Hawaii to New Jersey to learn more about starting, improving and sustaining their own charter schools / programs. Through the significant leadership by the Oakwood EE Governance Council, many projects, presentations, and printed materials have become a standard for schools who have visited to learn more through academies and workshops presented by Oakwood educators and area experts. The children of Oakwood have benefited the most. They have spent hours in applied learning concepts using environmental studies that blend with educational expectations of the district and state. Scoring that evaluates academic achievement has proven that what Oakwood has been providing is top quality! Students are placing higher in the scored study area! If affecting 500 students isn't enough evidence of the success of the Oakwood EE Charter school, we have provided information on our charter to over 300 schools through direct meetings, conference presentations, workshops, academies and through this website. We are at the end of the federal charter school funding period and must now look to self-funding. All monies donated are tax-deductible. You will be provided a receipt for tax purposes and in giving, support a school of 500 kids learning more about environmental education.
